Botanical and Solar Dye Workshop

Come join us for an hour and a half to learn about the beautiful palette of dyes derived from natural materials. We'll first learn to prepare fabrics, yarns and fibers for dyeing, and then we'll create the rainbow from commonly available plants and food scraps. Participants will finally create their own eco-friendly solar dye baths, using provided botanical materials, a 2oz skein of wool yarn and a silk scarf, which they can take home to watch develop over time.
